How can I access videos of my speeches?

We distribute speech videos via email on a weekly basis. Your videos won't be visible on our YouTube page unless you have the direct link, or if you've specifically requested for your videos to be made public.

How can I change my Toastmasters Path?

If your current path isn't aligning with your goals, start by speaking with the Vice President of Education (VPE). While you can't directly switch paths without starting anew (which incurs a $25 fee), the VPE can offer creative solutions. The VPE is there to ensure your experience is both rewarding and aligned with your personal development goals.

K
L

What if I'm not interested in a Pathways projects?

If those projects don't appeal to you, consider taking the style assessment anyway; it's valuable to reflect on your strengths and areas for growth. At Gilbert Toastmasters, an alternative approach could be to focus on a leader or communicator who inspires you. Share their impact and why their style resonates, turning the project into a personal exploration of exemplary leadership or communication.

What should I do if I'm struggling to choose an elective project?

If you're finding it challenging to grasp project details or decide which one to pursue, the best course of action is to consult the Vice President of Education (VPE). They are equipped to clarify project objectives and help you select one that aligns with your personal and professional development goals.

What if my project requires a 20-minute speech?

Gilbert Toastmasters typically limits speeches to a maximum of 9 minutes due to time constraints. If your project requires a longer speech, you have two options: condense your content to fit the time limit or reach out to Rob or the VPE. They can assist in finding a smaller club where you could present as a guest speaker, accommodating the full length of your speech.
