All our members took this theme to heart at our 8/24 meeting, working together to lift each other and help each other progress. Members that really rose to the challenge this week:

•	Renee is a ball of energy at every meeting, inspiring us all and earning her the Vicki Treciak spirit award
•	Tommy, our guest, made a great first impression and took home the award for Best Table Topic speech
•	Chris’ style of direct and practical feedback was appreciated by all and he was awarded Best Evaluator of the evening
•	Vincent, after taking a Toastmasters break, showed us he still knows how to deliver a powerful speech. His first speech back and he earned the Best Speaker award!

It was touching to hear our members heartfelt desires at our Wishing themed 8/10 meeting. Some star performances included:

•	David does so much to support our members behind the scenes, earning the Vicki Treciak spirit award
•	Elle is a shooting star, inspiring us all and winning the award for Best Table Topics
•	There was no wishing with Renee’s evaluation that was full of practical tips we could all use, earning her the award for Best Evaluator
•	Guacy’s star shown bright as she taught us about the depths of her love, taking home the award for Best Speaker of the night

Toastmaster members with notable performances at our Circle of Trust themed 8/3 meeting:

•	Rajeev is always willing to fill in when needed but also does a tremendous amount behind the scenes to keep our technology going, earning him the Vicki Treciak spirit award
•	Renee’s description of a world where everyone tells the truth sounded good to us all and earned her the award for Best Table Topics speech
•	Judith learned a lot preparing for her evaluation. Sharing what she learned was appreciated by all and she was selected as Best Evaluator
•	Joy taught us something new about rare disease and left us all wanting to know more, earning her the award for Best Speaker

We were all reminded to focus on the moment at our We were all reminded to focus on the moment at our sandcastles themed 7/27 meeting. Some notable moments at this week’s meeting:

•	Vincent was awarded the Vicki Treciak spirit award for his willingness to jump in and help out
•	Our guest, Tommy, reminded us all to enjoy the moment, giving him his first Toastmasters moment to remember with his award for best Table Topics
•	Greg provided some fabulous examples of the importance of vocal variety, and he took home the Best Evaluator award
•	Our introduction to DJ Geek was memorable and earned Dave the award for Best Speaker

The summer is winding down which was a perfect opp The summer is winding down which was a perfect opportunity to hear about Toastmaster members future and past vacations for our Vacations themed 7/20 meeting.

•	Amanda’s flexibility to jump in and help out earned her the Vicki Treciak spirit award
•	Family makes vacation twice as fun which was clear from the mom and daughter duo, Guacy and Victoria, both earning an award for Table Topics speeches.
•	Elle showed us she wasn’t on vacation and she was up for her job as evaluator, taking home the award for Best Evaluation.
•	 Bo explained how training his dog brought him to Toastmasters and it also brought him to the Best Speaker award for his first speech!

Our members showed us that they had what it takes to conquer challenges at our Bosses themed 7/13 meeting. 

•	Megan was awarded the Vicki Treciak spirit award this week for her willingness to jump in at the last minute to cover roles.
•	How to best estimate the number of bicycles sold in a region left us with no question of who was boss and Rob went home with the award for Best Table Topics
•	Megan’s approach to describe what she saw, felt, and heard was an evaluator resonated with the audience and earned her the award for Best Evalutor
•	Want to know more about the relationship of bumper cars and grudges? Blair gave us the scoop and earned the award for Best Speaker of the night

Our members adroitly regaled us all with stories o Our members adroitly regaled us all with stories of past and present celebrations worthy of our fireworks themed 7/6 meeting. Some rocket worthy performances:

•	A guest, Layla, was awarded the Vicki Treciak spirit award for her support of her dad on his Toastmaster journey.
•	Greg really made a bang with his impromptu speech on homemade fireworks, earning the award for Best Table Topics speech.
•	The importance of vocal variety and examples of the impact of vocal variety earned Cornelius the award for Best Evaluation
•	Chris’ descriptive speech of how every chef can make a menu that is plant forward left us all hungry and wanting more and left him with the award for Best Speaker.

We have all joined Toastmasters to get more practi We have all joined Toastmasters to get more practice with public speaking. We listened to our members and created more opportunities for practice and held a Speech-a-thon for our 6/29 meeting.

•	Straight forward feedback that we can all apply was the hallmark of Chris’ award winning Evaluation.
•	Renee’s high energy and engaging stories earned her the award for the Best Speaker

What’s your favorite flavor of ice cream? What i What’s your favorite flavor of ice cream? What ice cream flavor would you NEVER try? These questions and more had us craving dessert by the end of our ice cream themed 6/22 meeting.
Our award winners definitely deserve an extra sweet treat!

•	Thanks Chris L for jumping in to help out and always bringing a great attitude! These efforts were recognized with the Vicki Treciak spirit award.
•	Rajeev’s impromptu speech was smooth as fresh churned ice cream, earning him the award for best Table Topics.
•	Sweet and to the point were the hallmarks of Blair’s evaluation that earned her the award for best Evaluator.
•	Is it good to be overconfident? “Go ahead, lean into it” was advice from Chris P and led to his award for best Speaker of the night.

There was nothing jejune about our Summertime them There was nothing jejune about our Summertime themed 6/16 meeting. How would you use “jejune” in a sentence?
Congratulations to our award winners!

•	Akshay’s willingness to jump in and help out to make sure our meetings run smoothly earned him the Vicki Treciak spirit award
•	Our guest, Isabella, gave us a reminder to not wait until next summer to plant a tree and to do it now, taking home the award for best Table Topics
•	The impact of vocal variety on a speech was effectively emphasized by Joy and she earned the award for best Evaluator
•	Examples of how we all teach our children with what we do and don’t say resonated with the audience and earned Cornelius the award for best Speaker

Our Best Friends themed 6/8 meeting was full of heart-warming stories of friendship with special recognition:

•	High energy and support for her fellow members distinguish Jenny which was recognized with the Vicki Treciak spirit award
•	Guacy’s impromptu speech resonated with the audience, earning her the award for best Table Topics speech
•	Friendly and constructive feedback was the hallmark of David’s evaluation and he took home the award for best Evaluation
•	Adella hit it out of the park and earned the award for Best Speaker

•	Guacy brings energy and dedication to every meeting, earning the Vicki Treciak spirit award
•	Steven C went zonkers giving a memorable table topics speech and taking home the award for Best Table Topics speech
•	No relaxation on Rob’s watch, but lots of constructive feedback which earned him the award for Best Evaluator
•	Kelly hasn’t been relaxing, she’s been working hard on her speech and it showed. She took home the award for Best Speaker.

Gilbert Toastmasters is moving for the summer! We will be meeting at Greenfield Elementary School starting this Thursday (May 25th) 7pm (2550 E Elliot Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85234).
Our “So Cheesy” themed 5/18 meeting was so gel Our “So Cheesy” themed 5/18 meeting was so gelastic that we could barely catch our breath from so much laughing!

•	Megan has done a GREAT job as club President this past year, taking home a well-deserved Vicki Treciak spirit award.
•	We got some new ideas for cheesy pick-up lines and Rob got the award for best Table Topics.
•	A reminder to speak with emotion left an impression and Rajeev left with the award for best Evaluator
•	Greg taught us all about the evolution of baseball and sped home with the award for best Speaker

•	Renee’s beautiful energy and enthusiasm radiates through each meeting, earning her the Vicki Treciak spirit award
•	Rajeev had just enough time to entertain us all, winning the award for best Table Topics speech
•	Elle’s insightful feedback gave all our members something to think about, earning her the award for best Evaluation
•	No time travel needed for Amanda to win the award for Best Speaker

•	Our guest, Dave, took home the award for best Table Topics for having the courage to get up and tell us about his relationship with his father (no Darth Vader reference needed)
•	Wow! Wow! Wow! Behnood’s evaluation was AMAZING and he took home the award for best Evaluation
•	Elle really owned the Star Wars theme! She gave us a creative speech on leadership styles represented in the Star Wars movies and earned the award for Best Speaker

No radiation needed to help our members answer this and other jam packed questions for our Superhero themed 4/27 meeting.

•	Marie always brings energy and fun to Toastmasters meetings, which was recognized with the Vicki Treciak spirit award
•	Nina’s formidable super hero story had us all laughing, earning her the award for best Table Topics
•	Chris didn’t hold back the punches and gave a 1, 2 powerful evaluation, taking home the award for Best Evaluator
•	Guacy’s superpower is her ability to emotionally connect with her audience. This week was no exception and she received the Best Speaker award for her ability to connect.
